Top 100 logistics companies recommend Dachai products as energy-saving engines
On November 22, 2005, at the China Logistics Transportation Vehicle Evaluation Awards Conference, FAW Jiefang Dachai's CA6DE series became the only product from a domestic engine manufacturer to be recommended as an energy-saving model by the top 100 logistics companies in China. This recognition highlighted the growing importance of sustainable and efficient transportation solutions in the logistics industry.
As one of the most critical components of China’s transportation system, automobile logistics has long faced challenges in communication between logistics enterprises and vehicle manufacturers—particularly truck makers. This gap has hindered the development of both the logistics and automotive sectors. To address this, the first "China Logistics Transportation Vehicle Survey and Selection Campaign" was jointly organized by the China Communications and Transportation Association, the China Automotive Engineering Society, and the Economic Reference Newspaper. The initiative aimed to assess the current state of specialized vehicles used by logistics companies and guide the development of the transportation vehicle manufacturing industry.
During the campaign, over 100 models from more than 20 major automakers—including FAW Trading and Dongfeng Motor—were evaluated by the country’s top 100 logistics companies. Local transportation authorities also conducted inspections of vehicle manufacturers across different provinces. Ultimately, the winning vehicles were selected based on their performance, with "van trucks and tractors" being the main focus. Among them, FAW Jiefang Dachai’s CA6DE series stood out as the only energy-efficient engine model recognized in the event.
The CA6DE series is the result of more than 50 years of experience in diesel engine design and production by Dachai. Developed in collaboration with FAW Technology Center, it is a product with independent intellectual property rights. Known for its excellent cost-performance ratio and significant energy-saving capabilities, the CA6DE has become the preferred choice for FAW in producing medium and quasi-heavy trucks. Its success reflects the growing demand for environmentally friendly and high-performance transportation solutions in China’s rapidly evolving logistics sector.
