The proper installation of steam traps has a direct impact on the normal operation of the trap and the production efficiency of the equipment. The use of traps has a 20% effect due to the quality of the installation. As a pressure pipeline component, Hangzhou Watt Energy Saving Engineering Co., Ltd. believes that it must be installed by qualified installation personnel in strict accordance with the requirements of the regular installation of traps, so that traps and equipment can achieve design efficiency.

Before installation, steam traps need to carefully check the model, diameter, pressure difference, temperature, pressure, connection level and standard, and establish data statistics combined with on-site tag and trap number to facilitate the management and maintenance of trap operation.

Watt traps must be pressure tested and leak tested before they leave the factory, if functional testing is available. And provide a one-on-one test report or certificate of compliance provided by the manufacturer.

For special requirements of the trap, such as the requirements of material certificates, welding inspection certificates, gasket material certification, casting batch number, etc., must be checked before installation before installation.
1, in the steam pipe pressure test, the trap should be removed, replaced by a short pipe, at least to close the front and rear manual valve trap isolation. Be sure to purge the pipes with pressurized steam before using the trap to remove debris from the pipes.
2. The filter should be installed before the trap to ensure that the trap is not blocked by pipe debris and the filter is cleaned regularly. Even if the trap comes with a filter, it is recommended to increase the external filter, the filter uses a 0.5-1mm aperture, too much pressure drop is too large, too thick to play a role.
3, traps should be installed in the lower part of the equipment outlet, promptly discharge condensate to avoid pipe steam resistance. However, the descending pipe sets the dirt collection section to prevent impurities from directly entering the trap.

4. The condensate flow direction should be consistent with the arrow of the trap installation arrow. For mechanical trap installation, install the manufacturer's mounting orientation.
5, before and after the trap to install the valve, easy to repair the trap at any time.
6. If there is no position to install the trap in the lower part of the equipment, add a reverse bend at the outlet of the outlet (condensate lifting joint), raise the condensate level and then install the trap to avoid generating vapor resistance.
7, the trap outlet pipe should not be immersed in water. (If immersed in water, drill a hole in the bend to break the vacuum and prevent the sand from sucking back.)
8. For steam traps that may generate steam locks, install a balance pipe on top of the trap.
9, steam traps do not install in series. For steam traps with poor venting capability, thermostatic type venting valves can be connected in parallel.
10. Each device should have its own trap. Can't cluster hydrophobic.
11. Before the thermostatic type steam traps, the supercooled pipes with at least one meter of uncooled heat shall be used according to the degree of supercooling. Other types of steam traps shall be as close as possible to the equipment.
12. When using tumble dryer (with syphon type) equipment, please indicate when using steam traps: Use steam traps with anti-blocking devices to prevent the device from generating steam locks.
13. If there is condensation water recovery after the trap, the trap outlet pipe should be connected to the main pipe from above the recovery manifold to reduce back pressure and prevent backflow.
14. If there is condensate recovery after the trap, pipelines with different pressure levels must be recycled separately.

16. After the trap water enters the recovery main pipe, a check valve is installed to prevent condensation from flowing back. The check valve behind the thermodynamic trap should be kept at an interval of about 1m to avoid damage.
17. Install steam traps on the steam pipeline. The main pipeline must have a condensate collecting well close to the radius of the main pipeline, and then use a small pipe to guide the trap at a slightly elevated height. Small tubes must be kept warm and as short as possible.

19. For the application of condensate back pressure recovery, in order to prevent corrosion and accumulation of water, a bimetal trap is added at the bottom of the hydrophobic pipe and directly drained to facilitate the condensate draining at the time of starting and stopping.

30. If the pipe behind the trap is connected to the main pipe, a miter must be used to avoid water hammer and mains erosion.
