>>> Structure and Operating Principles
The KYBC diesel engine driven self-priming pump consists of a diesel engine, coupling, pump body, impeller, rear cover, mechanical seal, pump spindle, bearing block, imported pump, gas-liquid separator tube, water valve, and drain connection. The pump structure is shown in the following figure.
Principle of operation: the pump body contains an internal fluid reservoir connected to the working chamber through a reflowing valve on top and a circulation valve beneath it, forming an axial-flow outer recirculation system. When the pump stops, there is already a volume of liquid in the reservoir. When the pump operates, the liquid is ejected upward by the impeller, then flows back into the working cavity via the gas-liquid separator tube. Simultaneously, the gas is expelled, creating a vacuum that enables self-priming.
>>> Preparations before Starting Pump
Check the fasteners of the joint parts, such as the pump seat, coupling, and bearing carrier, to ensure they are secure. If any loosen, tighten them.
Check the connecting pipes to ensure no gas leakage exists.
Turn on the water valve at the top of the pump, add water to fill at least 2/3 of the pump volume. Then turn off the water valve. For subsequent starts, no need to repeat this step.
Connect the battery power line to the power source. When the diesel engine is powered on, press the start button on the panel to test the rotation direction (clockwise is acceptable; counterclockwise is prohibited).
Starting up: add antifreeze to the diesel engine’s water tank, fill the fuel tank with diesel, and add lubricating oil (labeled 10w-40) to the engine. Ensure the starter’s power line is correctly connected to the battery, paying attention to the positive and negative poles.
