On November 4th, the Guangzhou Municipal Government issued the Notice on the Implementation of the Management of Environmental Protection Marks for Motor Vehicles. The Notice was implemented on January 1, 2014 and is valid for 5 years.
According to the "Notice", Guangzhou City-named brand cars should obtain environmental protection signs, and foreign-grade number-name cars that enter the restricted areas of Guangzhou's high-pollution vehicles should also hold valid green environmental protection signs.
The "Notice" clarifies that Guangzhou City number plate cars should obtain environmental protection signs and use them as required. Guangzhou City number plate vehicles that do not hold valid environmental protection signs are prohibited from passing through the administrative area of ​​Guangzhou 24 hours a day. Foreign-level license plates that enter the restricted area of ​​Guangzhou's highly polluting vehicles shall hold valid green environmental protection signs and use them as required. At the same time, it is forbidden to pass the Guangzhou City number plate car and the foreign number plate car that do not hold the valid green environmental protection mark in the restricted zone.
