Exports of Automobiles and Components increased 25.83% YoY in May before Nanchang

Yesterday, the reporter learned from the Nanchang Foreign Economic and Trade Commission that, in May, Nanchang City imported and exported 767 million U.S. dollars in the month, an increase of 81.26% year-on-year. Among them, exports were 584 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 99.64 percent year-on-year, an increase of 35.0 percent year-on-year; imports were 183 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 40.08 percent, and the total value of imports and exports and the total value of exports hit an all-time high, with exports for the first time exceeding the 500 million U.S. dollar mark.

It is understood that, as of May, Nanchang City has achieved an accumulative export of 1.903 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 87.4% year-on-year, and the growth rate ranks first in the central provincial capital. In the first five months of this year, the city’s photovoltaic industry accumulated exports of 280 million US dollars, an increase of 4.82 times year-on-year. In addition, the cumulative exports of automobiles and parts and components totaled 103 million U.S. dollars, a year-on-year increase of 25.83%. Electromechanical and high-tech products exported 900 million U.S. dollars and 430 million U.S. dollars respectively, an increase of 1.1 times and 1.8 times year-on-year, accounting for 69.89% of the city's total exports. Private enterprises and foreign-invested enterprises have experienced rapid growth in exports. The total value of private enterprises’ exports reached 945 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 1.43 times year-on-year; exports of foreign-invested enterprises reached 653 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 73.2% year-on-year.
