Chicago MVA highway response, 1-23-16

This message is from Steve Redick: --- A couple of hours ago, I witnessed an incident near the intersection of EB JFK and Natoma. It was reported as a severe car accident with someone potentially pinned inside their vehicle. When I got there, though, it turned out that no one was actually trapped. One of the victims was quickly transported to a nearby trauma center. The scene looked pretty intense—there were several fire trucks and emergency personnel swarming the area. From what I could tell, the responders used some advanced blocking techniques to stabilize the vehicles involved. Hopefully, the injuries sustained by those involved aren’t too serious. Here are some photos I took from the scene: ![](https://example.com/image-1.jpg?w=600&h=400) *Photo Credit: Steve Redick* ![](https://example.com/image-2.jpg?w=600&h=400) *Photo Credit: Steve Redick* ![](https://example.com/image-3.jpg?w=600&h=457) *Photo Credit: Steve Redick* ![](https://example.com/image-4.jpg?w=600&h=400) *Photo Credit: Steve Redick* ![](https://example.com/image-5.jpg?w=526&h=600) *Photo Credit: Steve Redick* It’s always surreal to see how quickly emergency services can mobilize during situations like this. I hope everyone involved gets the help they need and recovers soon. If you know anyone who might have been involved, please reach out to them and check in. --- I’ll keep an eye on any updates about this incident and share more if anything comes up.
