Black sulfide is a polymer compound with more sulfur, and its structure contains disulfide bonds and polysulfide bonds, and it is very unstable. In particular, under certain temperature and humidity conditions, polysulfide bonds can be oxidized into sulfur oxides by oxygen in the air, and further react with water molecules in the air to generate sulfuric ACID, thus reducing the strength of yarns and brittle fibers, and in severe cases, all fibers are brittle into powder. Therefore, in order to reduce or prevent fiber embrittlement, the following points must be paid attention to: ①The dosage of black sulfide dye should be limited, and the dosage of mercerized special color dye should not exceed 700g/ package. Because of the high amount of dye, the chance of brittleness is great, and the dyeing fastness is reduced, and washing is also difficult. (2) after dyeing, it should be fully washed to prevent the washing from being unclean, and the floating color on the yarn is easily decomposed into sulfuric acid during storage, which makes the fiber brittle. (3) After dyeing, urea, soda ash and sodium acetate must be used for embrittlement prevention. (4) The yarn is scoured with clear water before dyeing, and the embrittlement degree of the dyed yarn scoured with clear water is better than that scoured with alkali liquor. ⑤ The dyed yarn should be dried in time, because the wet yarn is easy to generate heat during stacking, which reduces the content of embrittlement inhibitor and pH value of the yarn, which is not good for embrittlement prevention. After the yarn is dried, it should be naturally cooled, so that the temperature of the yarn can be reduced to room temperature before packaging. Because it is packaged immediately after drying without cooling, the heat is not easy to dissipate, which increases the energy for dye decomposition and acid generation, and the possibility of fiber brittleness becomes greater. ⑥ Anti-brittle black sulfide dyes are selected. Formaldehyde and chloroacetic acid have been added to this kind of dyes during manufacture. The methyl-chlorine sulfur anti-brittle black made from this makes the easily oxidized sulfur atoms into a stable structural state, which can prevent the fiber from being brittle due to the oxidation of sulfur atoms into acids.
