Simulation and CAM enhance product development with greater integration and completeness
I’ve spent a lot of time speaking with manufacturers across industries like automotive, industrial machinery, and consumer goods. One thing has become increasingly clear: they want a simpler, more streamlined software experience. They’re looking for one unified set of tools that work seamlessly together, allowing designers to easily hand off 3D models to engineering teams for simulation and testing, and then for production teams to create machining plans.
Take the example of a company like Briggs Automotive Company (BAC), a UK-based supercar manufacturer. Another way to look at it is that this update delivers the best Inventor experience ever. Inventor Professional’s advanced modeling and automation tools are now paired with simulation, 5-axis CAM, and factory planning features—all fully integrated into the Inventor workflow.
Subscribers also benefit from a future-ready toolset. While not every update will be as significant as this one, we’re committed to continuous improvements, incorporating tools like Fusion 360, and introducing new technologies such as generative design.
