This is from CARMA Chicago: According to the original West Suburban Fire Rescue Alliance numbering plan for DuPage County, Station 2 was numbered 81 and Station 3 was 82. Station 1 wasn’t listed at all, and 83 and 84 were reserved. However, it looks like this plan hasn't been followed closely in recent years. I believe Villa Park FD currently operates with two active stations and possibly one spare. There's also an old or unused station located just south of St. Charles Road, in addition to the one near Roosevelt and another north of the UPRR. So maybe there’s more to the story behind their current numbering system. Based on my notes, I have 81 for Station 1, 82 for Station 2, and 83 and 84 as reserves. But I’m not entirely sure if that matches what’s actually in use right now. I’d love to hear from anyone who has more up-to-date information on Villa Park’s current setup. Villa Park FD has recently adopted new station and rig numbers on DU-COMM Fire East. I overheard a call where Engine 82 returned to the station, and Medic 81 was dispatched to Elmhurst Hospital. It seems they are now using 81 and 82 for their active stations and frontline units. But what about their reserve or backup units? Does anyone know what numbers they're using for those?
