Autodesk has recently entered into a strategic partnership with the Taiwan Architecture and Building Center (TABC) to drive innovation and skill development in the smart building sector. This Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aims to support the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry in Taiwan by enhancing digital transformation and intelligent applications.
The collaboration will focus on promoting key technologies such as Fusion 360 and BIM (Building Information Modeling). Through joint initiatives, Autodesk and TABC plan to launch training programs, foster talent development, and encourage innovation in both smart buildings and intelligent manufacturing.
Fusion 360, already popular among manufacturers, startups, and makers in Taiwan, is expected to make a significant impact in the architecture industry. “With Fusion 360, we can streamline our workflows and move toward smarter, more connected environments,†said Chin-Fu Yang, Chairman of TABC. “This software will be a game-changer for how we design and build in the future.â€
Jui-Lin Chen, Director of the Architecture and Building Research Institute, emphasized the importance of BIM in advancing smart architecture. “BIM is essential for modern construction practices. The Ministry of the Interior is actively working to promote its adoption in public projects, aligning with global trends in smart infrastructure,†he added.
This partnership marks another milestone in Autodesk’s long-term vision to support the design and construction industries in Taiwan. The company has previously launched initiatives like "Design Dream Voyage," which empowers K-12 students to explore creative design tools and bring their ideas to life.
“Autodesk remains committed to elevating 3D design capabilities across Taiwan,†said Richard Li, Managing Director of Autodesk Greater China. “We are proud to collaborate with TABC to bring cutting-edge solutions to the architecture industry and help it reach new levels of excellence.â€
