The concept and significance of equivalence screening

During the sieving process, the fine particles pass through the sieve holes, and it is difficult to sieve the particles, that is, The size of the mesh size is slower through the mesh.
The average particle size of the crushed product can be maintained by appropriately increasing the mesh size and reducing the screening efficiency, thereby improving the productivity of the sieve. As shown in the table below, the short-head cone crusher and the sieve form a closed circuit, breaking the medium-breakable ore, and there are three working systems:
1. The width of the discharge port is e=d, the size of the mesh hole is a=d, and the screening efficiency is E=85%;
2.e=0.8d, a=1.2d, E=80%;
3.e = 0.8d, a = 1.4d, E = 65%.
In fact, the screened products obtained by these three working systems have the same specific surface area (m 2 /ton), that is, the same average particle size. That is to say, the undersize product is "equivalent" to the grinding operation, so it is called equivalent screening.

2. When the closed circuit is broken, the working system with the equivalent value of 1 is generally used.
In the actual production process, the equivalent work system in the above table 2 can be used. Under the condition that the discharge port of the crusher remains basically unchanged, the mesh size is increased, the screening efficiency is lowered, and the production capacity of the sieve is greatly improved. Therefore, the screening process can be improved to make it smooth; at the same time, the number of sieve installations can be reduced. Therefore, when the closed circuit is generally broken, the sieve size of the sieve is always about 20% larger than the upper limit of the maximum size of the crusher, and the screening efficiency is reduced to 70-80%.
